Are you 19 or older and interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) or a Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG)? Come play with a volunteer GM (Game Master) at Omaha ForUs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays!
Tabletop Role Playing Games are interactive games that use dice and improvised roleplaying to provide an opportunity for any individual to create their own player and embark on fun quests (one-shots) facilitated by a game master (GM).

Character building starts at 4:30pm and space is limited. Game starts promptly at 5pm, so check-in between 4:15-4:45pm to secure your spot. If you have never been here, you will need to budget 10 minutes for establishing yourself in our check-in system.
VIRTUAL 19+ Support Group (Registration Required)
VIRTUAL GROUP FOR DECEMBER 17TH
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED!
This group is an intentional community for adults to process the intersections of mental health and LGBTQ+ identity through shared lived experience. This group is peer facilitated and is not therapy.
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm at Omaha ForUs. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm.
This group requires registration and space is limited. Due to space limitations, only those who pre-register will be admitted to group. Each group session will have a new registration. Registration will open the Thursday before the next group at 6pm.
(Registration for the December 17th group opens at 6pm on December 11th.)
Parents & Caregivers Online Support Group
Build community with other parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ individuals at our Parents & Caregivers Online Support Group. This group takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month on Zoom.

Pride Pantry + Clothing Closet CLOSED
Omaha ForUs’ Clothing Closet and Food/Hygiene Pantry will be CLOSED. No donations will be accepted on these days. These services will re-open on the next business day according to our posted hours of operation.

Rainbow Readers Book Club
Join us to connect with fellow readers and celebrate the power of storytelling!
Rainbow Readers is a welcoming book club for adults (19+) who enjoy exploring stories, history, and experiences. Whether you are interested in reading about different communities, sharing your current book, or engaging in thoughtful discussions, this group is for you!
While the collective book topic may change monthly, there is no required reading—participants are encouraged to bring a book they love or simply join the conversation.
The club meets on the first Saturday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Omaha For Us.
The book for January is “The Disco Witches of Fire island” by Blair Fell.

Hope for Survivors Virtual Support Group (Registration Required)

Hope for Survivors is a no cost, virtual, peer led, support group for adult (ages 19+) LGBTQ+ suicide loss survivors hosted every 3rd Thursday of the month on Zoom from 6-7:30pm.
Losing someone you care about to suicide can have a profound impact, it is a unique experience of loss. The purpose of this group is to bring together people with the share experience of losing someone they care about to suicide to find hope and healing.
Prior to your first meeting you will be invited to do a brief virtual meet-and-greet with the facilitator. This is an opportunity to share more with you about the group and answer any questions.
The group will meet from 6-7:30pm CT on the 3nd Thursday of each month via Zoom. A zoom link will be sent after the meet-and-greet.

Volunteers who have applied and have been approved by Omaha ForUs can sign-up for an orientation on this date. Walk-ins are not accepted, as we have a rigorous selection process to guarantee the safety of community members, staff, and the facility. If you are interested in volunteering, but have not completed an application yet, please complete an application here in order to sign-up for a Volunteer Orientation at Omaha ForUs.

Losing someone you care about to suicide can have a profound impact, it is a unique experience of loss. The purpose of this group is to bring together people with the share experience of losing someone they care about to suicide to find hope and healing.
Prior to your first meeting you will be invited to do a brief virtual meet-and-greet with the facilitator. This is an opportunity to share more with you about the group and answer any questions.

This group is an intentional community for adults to process the intersections of mental health and LGBTQ+ identity through shared lived experience. This group is peer facilitated and is not therapy.
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm at Omaha ForUs. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm.
This group requires registration and space is limited. Due to space limitations, only those who pre-register will be admitted to group. Each group session will have a new registration. Registration will open the Thursday before the next group at 6pm.
(Registration for the December 10th group opens at 6pm on December 4th.)

This group is an intentional community for adults to process the intersections of mental health and LGBTQ+ identity through shared lived experience. This group is peer facilitated and is not therapy.
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm at Omaha ForUs. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm.
This group requires registration and space is limited. Due to space limitations, only those who pre-register will be admitted to group. Each group session will have a new registration. Registration will open the Thursday before the next group at 6pm.

19+ D & D
Are you 19 or older and interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) or a Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG)? Come play with a volunteer GM (Game Master) at Omaha ForUs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays!
Tabletop Role Playing Games are interactive games that use dice and improvised roleplaying to provide an opportunity for any individual to create their own player and embark on fun quests (one-shots) facilitated by a game master (GM).

Character building starts at 4:30pm and space is limited. Game starts promptly at 5pm, so check-in between 4:15-4:45pm to secure your spot. If you have never been here, you will need to budget 10 minutes for establishing yourself in our check-in system.
November Volunteer Day of Service

This does not require an extensive application process, background check, or regular contribution like becoming a regular volunteer does. This is perfect for organized groups (e.g. employee groups, university-based groups, social groups, etc.) seeking one off volunteer opportunities! All LGBTQ+ affirming individuals are welcome.
