This event is in honor of Trans Day of Remembrance and International Survivor of Suicide Loss Day. All losses are valid and welcome to be grieved in this space. There are local events in honor of both of these dates. Watch our social media, or visit afsp.org/nebraska to learn more.

This group is an intentional community for adults to process the intersections of mental health and LGBTQ+ identity through shared lived experience. This group is peer facilitated and is not therapy.
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm at Omaha ForUs. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm.

Dungeons & Dragons or D&D is a type of fantasy tabletop roleplaying game that uses dice and improvised roleplaying to provide an opportunity for any individual to create their own player and embark on fun quests (one-shots) facilitated by a dungeon master or DM. Come play D&D at Omaha ForUs biweekly on Thursdays starting Sept 17th! Character building starts at 4:30pm and space is limited. D&D starts promptly at 5pm, so come check-in between 4:15-4:45 to secure your spot. If you have never been here, you will need to budget 10 minutes for establishing yourself in our system.

LGBTQ+ Post Election Virtual Support Group
Omaha ForUs and OutNebraska invite you to a virtual one-time support group to process feelings related to the election. This is not a space to discuss policy, but rather we invite you to come and be in supportive community with trained peer facilitators to process your emotions. This group is specifically for LGBTQ+ adults.

Community Care Days
Omaha ForUs recognizes that election day may bring a variety of emotions for our community. We invite you to join us for a Community Care Day on November 5th.
This will be a politics free zone, a space for community, support, and fun. Join us for snacks, games, crafts, non-political tv, and affirming community.
Free chair massages from 1-3:30, first come first serve

Godega coffee, tea, and snacks starting at 1pm while supplies last
Our mental health team, including Benson the therapy dog (until 6pm) will also be on hand for anyone needing support.

This Support Group is in partnership with PFLAG and is for parents, caregivers and other adult family members of any-aged LGBTQ+ identified folks (LGBTQ+ loved one’s 19+ welcome too!)
Meet our Mental Health Therapist, CJ, and PFLAG’s Board Member, Lia, to gain perspective and support in relating to your LGBTQ+ loved one. Build community with other people and gain skills for coping, parenting, and supporting your loved ones.
This is a simultaneous Support Group with Proud Horizons, a Youth Support Group also hosted at Omaha ForUs during the same time! LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-19 are able to attend Proud Horizons while their family members attend this group.

Mental Health First Aid Virtual PT. 2 (Registration Required-Must Attend Both Parts)
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early intervention course that teaches participants to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges in adults. This online course will cover common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to connect a person with help, and how to lean into self care.
All adult community members are welcome. Registration is required and closes Sept 25th. Space is limited. Participants will need to complete about 2 hours of online self directed work prior to the first live session, and participate in both sessions, to become certified. This training is provided at no cost to participants thanks to Region 6 Behavioral Health. A link to register is available at omahaforus.org.
