This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm at Omaha ForUs. To honor the integrity of the group process, no one will be admitted after 6pm.

How It Works:

Open to LGBTQ+ individuals who are at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guideline (that’s $19,562.50 or less annual income for a single person).

If your income over that, you may still qualify through eligible deductions (rent, car payments, etc.) if your annual income is up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline ( that’s $31,300).

Legal Aid of Nebraska will determine eligibility based on financial information you provide in the registration process.

Are you 19+ and interested in Dungeons & Dragons? Dungeons & Dragons or D&D is a type of fantasy tabletop roleplaying game that uses dice and improvised roleplaying to provide an opportunity for any individual to create their own player and embark on fun quests (one-shots) facilitated by a dungeon master or DM. Come play D&D at Omaha ForUs biweekly on Thursdays starting Sept 17th! Character building starts at 4:30pm and space is limited. D&D starts promptly at 5pm, so come check-in between 4:15-4:45 to secure your spot. If you have never been here, you will need to budget 10 minutes for establishing yourself in our system.

We invite anyone in the community to “get glam” every first and third Wednesday of the month! Learn basic sewing/creative costume styling, hair, and makeup. Join a fun & friendly, casual atmosphere and chat with people - of all skill levels - looking to learn!

Rainbow Readers is a welcoming book club for adults aged 19 and older who enjoy exploring stories, history, and experiences. Whether you are interested in reading about different communities, sharing your current book, or engaging in thoughtful discussions, this group provides a supportive space for all readers aged 19+. While the collective book topic may change monthly, there is no required reading—participants are encouraged to bring a book they love or simply join the conversation.

The club meets on the first Saturday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Omaha For Us.

Help us make Omaha shine! Omaha For Us LGBTQ+ Community Center is teaming up with Keep Nebraska Beautiful—a nonprofit dedicated to environmental sustainability and litter prevention—to host a Volunteer Service Day on April 30th at Omaha For Us located at 3337 N 107th St, Omaha, NE 68137

We’ll be distributing garbage bags, gloves, and other supplies to volunteers as we clean up litter around the city. This event is not just about keeping Nebraska beautiful—it’s about fostering a sense of pride, unity, and community care within Omaha’s LGBTQ+ community and beyond. We will also be sorting through the back-stock of clothing and transferring our Trans Stitchin’ clothing closet from Fall/Winter clothing to Spring/Summer clothing!
