Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early intervention course that teaches participants to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges in adults. This online course will cover common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to connect a person with help, and how to lean into self-care.
All adult community members are welcome. Registration is required and closes Sept 25th. Space is limited. Participants will need to complete about 2 hours of online self-directed work prior to the first live session, and participate in both sessions, to become certified. Part 1 is on Oct 5th and Part 2 is on Oct 12th. Must be available for both dates in order to complete the training completely.
